At the start of the ski season I went to visit Mario and the new Blossom Ski factory in Chiavenna, what an experience!

Mario guided me through the actual factory and I saw my favourite skis being actually MADE BY HAND in Italy.

There is a real person in charge for each step of the manufacturing process, it all starts with choosing the right planks of wood, cutting them to the right shape and size, then combining with the other materials, including the very important top sheet and the sides, gluing everything together, then finishing them off in the machine.

Oh what an experience! My ski of choice for this season is the Wind Shear, stay tuned and you will get to read a nice review of it.
